The Villa at Ridder Country Club Wedding on 35mm Film

Conor and Ryan’s wedding at The Villa at Ridder Country Club was our kind of party: big energy, lots of people, and a packed dancefloor.

We photographed their wedding with our usual mix of digital and 35mm film, but this post is all film. Their friends and family made the reception especially fun to photograph, and some of our favorite frames came once the formal parts of the day were over and everyone was just enjoying themselves. Film is particularly good at capturing that kind of energy. The movement, imperfect moments, direct flash, and little interactions happening around the edges of the dance floor are made for 35mm.
